    IIRC
    Sean Devine £200,000
    Darren Currie £250,000
    Stuart Roberts £120,000

We were rumoured to have bid £400k plus for Ellington as well. We did well out of ITV Digital!

We did well out of the FA Cup semi final you mean!

I was going to say I don't remember Nathan Ellington playing for us - but he was probably in the Wigan side at my first Wycombe game (Feb 2003, can't remember anything other than we lost 2-0).

Bristol Rovers had a ridiculous run of superstar strikers for a period.
Jason Roberts, Marcus Stewart, Taylor, Ellington, Cureton

I thought the FA Cup money went on a new carpet for the Vere Suite.

    Ah yes, in part!

But we were all excited to add 2 quality wingers to a team with huge heart, that perhaps lacked that bit of flair.
Shame it never quite pushed us on that gear.

I'm surprised they've managed to keep hold of Jonson Clarke-Harris! Cureton is still going at some level, just signed for someone this week.

    That too of course.

  • Well done the Trust for digging us out of the mire!

  • We were after everyone thst summer; Ellington, Brett Ormerod, Chris Greenacre, Jamie Forrester, Lee Hodges (the good one)

We got Currie, Roberts and a new carpet for the Vere Suite and boardroom

And not long afterwards Ivor Beeks was begging us to give the club to Steve Hayes because we were broke, citing the ITV digital collapse amongst other things even though we'd actually taken the money for that deal up front

Cureton has signed for Hornchurch this month; and he's already scored for them.
