Aylesbury United plans thwarted
Plans for Aylesbury United to move back to their overgrown Buckingham Road ground have been thwarted. The site was recently put up for auction and although AUFC bid £650k they were outbid (£800k) by a Bedfordshire property development company.
But it does beg the question - what the hell are the local councillors on Aylesbury Vale District Council doing about it? You might well wonder.

Do they have any powers in this respect? Unless it is zoned for other use, hard to see what councillors could do.
I guess it depends on who owns the land?
First game I saw after arriving in the area was at Buckingham Park...a pre-season friendly against some Wycombe team
