Articles, match reports, podcast
I thought I'd start a thread for the various Wycombe Wanderers based articles and match reports I write should anyone be inclined to read them. I tend to do a report on each home league game for D3D4 football as well as other articles now and then.
A piece on the takeover...

We're also attempting to revive The Wanderer Podcast after 7 years. Here's the first episode of 'Season Two' if you like. It's a couple of weeks old now and the quality isn't great (working with some new tools and techniques) but we'll hopefully iron things out for future episodes

I'll post any future links on this thread (past articles and reports are available here http://d3d4football.com/tag/wycombe-wanderers/)
Thanks for reading/listening

Gareth Ainsworth first joined Wycombe ten years ago today. Here is a piece on him I have written for D3D4Football (long read)

Really enjoyed that, thanks.

Good read, thanks!
PODCAST ALERT!
Episode 2 of Season 2 of The Wanderer Podcast is now available. 50 minutes of incoherent, uninformed ramblings on the mighty Wanderers.

Also on Spotify (Search 'WandererPodcast')
Enjoy and thanks for listening.

Thanks, Phil. This reads well from a neutral perspective, which seems a good thing. Like the picture of the fireworks, too - a nice add-on!
Thanks @HCblue - I always endeavor to keep these things as balanced as possible. The photo largely came about as I wasn't able to get any interesting ones during the game itself!

Tent pole signing?
Does it refer to marquee?
I have often wondered if people have confused the spelling 'marquee' with 'marque' (as in a type of car). I now see that the term applied to an important player signing comes from the USA - as follows:-
A marquee player is an athlete who is considered exceptionally popular, skilled, or otherwise outstanding, especially in professional sports. Its name comes from theatre marquees, on which the names of the stars of productions in said theatre are often emblazoned in order to draw spectators.
Theatre marquees? That’s a new one on me. I suppose marquees are sometimes used as theatres but I wouldn’t have thought they would normally display the names of stars.
Did seem an odd and potentially confusing variation on the customary “marquee signing” but, overall, an interesting and typically non-partisan piece from @PhilSlatter. Which reminds me. We haven’t heard from @HCblue for some time. Hope all is as well as can be expected in such trying circumstances.
