Relevant podcasts
As Ringing the Blues, having gone from strength to strength, takes a deserved break it occurs to me that there are some great podcasts out there about The Beautiful Game.
I hope that this thread can bring together our collective podcast (football related?) discoveries and I will start with this discovery about the change in the back pass rule in the app that I use. Enjoy!

NTT20 is an absolute essential for the EFL.
Athletico Mince is a joy
The guardian one and totally football (as long as you fast forward through the paddy power bits) are both decent, and feature soem Wycombe related content as well, with oily sailor a regular on the totally football one, and Marcus Bean occasionally cropping up on the guardian one
We've recently revived The Wanderer Podcast. It's a couple of weeks old and the quality of this one is poor but we'll work to improve it as we record/release more episodes

D3D4 is also worth a listen and they have an interview with former Wycombe goalkeeper Scott Brown this week
I'm guessing that @NorsQuarters's link in the first post is supposed to be to this: https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/unsure-footing/ - which is indeed a very good listen. It's not usually a football podcast.
Thanks Doc, and to all for the ideas. Just came across a new one with a GA interview after this weekend's EFL predictions.

Quickly Kevin is good for '90s nostalgia, and for learning about Steve Bruce's novel. Just need to ignore the fact Josh Widdecombe is a Plymouth fan.
The Football Ramble is the best football podcast I've ever heard, manages to mix fun with some of the most spot on analysis you'll get. Can take a while to get into the flow of the roles the presenters take.
I find NTT20 a bit too stats and betting driven, and you do want the presenters to loosen up, but their views on the way things will turn out do tend to be right.
The Footballer's Mindset has featured both Darius Charles and Matt Bloomfield, with thorough chats, although the host is a bit too involved.
My recommended Pods
The Offensive - A podcast about fictional Kent Premier League side Ashwood City. Very funny
Behind Closed Doors - Gary Lineker and Danny Baker
Ian Holloway Podcast
Alive and Kicking - 1990s Footy
Nessun Dorma - 80s/90s footy
Mark Kermode interviewing Asif Kapadia about making the Maradona film. Includes a lovely line about how much nicer it is to beat your rivals with a little bit of cheating, to beat them in a way that they’ll still be talking about decades later. Imagine if VAR takes that away from football. What a horrible sterile world.

@drcongo NOOOOOOooooooooooo NOT VAR!!!!
@drcongo Glutton for punishment, or a WUM?
Ali and George of NTT20 fame also now host The Totally Football League Show Extra Time podcast every Thursday. Today's episode includes decent interviews with JJ (his take on the step up, the number of games in quick succession, 5 subs etc) and Russell Martin (let's just hope we can like him a bit more again soon).
Great film that.
Russell Martin sounds ominously impressive. Hopefully a bigger team will sign him soon before he drags MK too far along.
@Croider - as long as you don’t mean a bigger club like Wycombe. But, if GA does get lured away in a few years time, Russell would be on my short list to replace him. A fine former player with intelligence, likability and business acumen.
I think Blooms will be our next manager, but Russell Martin is one of the most innovative coaches in the EFL right now - look at what he had the 'keeper doing against Sunderland.
Juggling on a unicycle?
Let's be greedy and go for a Blooms/Martin combo to get us in to the Premier League!
I missed this - what did the keeper do?
Saved me from asking (or feeling guilty) @Shev .
@chairboyscentral’s taking his time!!
This:
Risky but something I'd never seen before
Interesting but could you imagine the screaming from the Frank Adams stand.
Oh god, wouldn't want to be trying that with Rocky - just get rid!
'I know we all said you need to come off yer line Rocky lad but Christ almighty....!'
Doesn't really seem worth it to open up space at the back, but what do I know.
To be honest it was scare me if we played that way even with Fred in goal.
We always seem to match up quite well against sides who play from the back like that. Too many opportunities for it to go wrong.
Goalies are paid to do goalie things in my opinion
Goalkeepers are closer to being outfield players than ever - although there's still plenty of room for the traditional kind. Play to your strengths and all that. All about risk v reward when you play like that - Coventry did it very well in L1, Rochdale did not.
Seems like huge risk for very little reward to me
(talking about what the franchise did in particular, not keepers playing out from the back in general)
