Perhaps a surprising appointment of Bankes in his first season as league referee to take probably the game with the biggest most intimidating crowd. Presumably his assessemnts have come back very favourably. Really though, not sure the name of the ref makes too much difference, all can have good games, all sometimes can get it wrong.
All will be trying to do the best fairest job they can.

Only sent off 1 player in the 30 odd games he's refereed this season.
Nigel Miller is a very experienced referee, Peter Bankes however is not !
