A short match report, brought to you by the number 3
It was a 3pm kickoff for the biggest game in the country yesterday, with 3 places separating Wycombe and Lincoln in the 3rd tier. In addition to BBC 3 Counties, the game was covered by Quest. The story of the game was Wycombe's number 3, Joe Jacobson, the left back, whose 3 goals decided the contest, though the second may be given as an own goal. The 3-1 scoreline does not flatter Wycombe, who dominated in all 3 phases. Having won all previous 3 home games (drawing their 3 away games), Wycombe were confident that they could carry on their fine form, especially as this was Lincoln's 3rd game in the past eight days. Indeed, Lincoln fell a player short of having the game called off owing to the requisite 3 players on international duty. Having also conceded 3 against Doncaster in midweek in the Leasing.com trophy, Lincoln would have been hoping to tighten up at the back. However, it was not to be, as Wycombe's midfield 3 bossed the game, not allowing the Imps any time on the ball once it crossed the halfway line. Though Lincoln will be unhappy to drop 3 places in the league, they can have no complaints about the scoreline, especially as their goal should never have stood. With both Nick Freeman and Alex Samuel extending their Wycombe contracts to 3 years in midweek, they both celebrated with great displays, and Samuel, as the second of the 3 Wycombe substitutions, was given a rousing send off.
For Wycombe, it's off to Gillingham next, and with the stadium only having 3 covered stands, the travelling Chairboy faithful will be hoping for good weather, and another 3 points.

Three words. That is genius,
Holy Trinity, Batman!
I have no idea how this thread got closed, but I'm re-opening it with 3 apologies to @Shev
3 is a magic number
Great performance by Nick Threeman.
Could you put this to music @Shev?
Nice one, Jonny though to be honest I was trying to hit the upward pointing thumb - the middle of three icons on the tiny screen of my iPhone - rather than “quote” - and my heart sank when the latter went pink because once a quote is in the Comments box it is the devil’s own job to get rid of it.
A three part symphony, maybe...
Three chords and the truth
Give that man the threedom of High Wycombe.
@micra Go to the menu (little square in the top left) and select 'drafts'. Your accidental comment will be there. Press the little 'x' on the right hand side to delete.
You have too much time on yer hands @Shev
