WHC Score prediction - Wimbledon (a) - "local away game - tidy"
Little change this week as virtually everyone predicted a win but unsurprisingly no one got the score.
@Shev takes the lead - one of a few yet to have predicted every result correctly so far. He is still celebrating a correct score last week for the first time in 50 attempts - well done mate.
@OnlyMe , @JamesJackson and @robin in threat of expulsion next week if they don't predict or achieve a last minute takeover. I have added "betfair" a virtual entrant who predicts a 1-0 win to the betfair match favourite (or a 1-1 draw)

We are due for a win away to Wimbledon. I believe we only have one league win against AFC, 2 - 0 at home five years ago. My most enduring memory of that game was Matt Bloomfield going down clutching his head after a clash with a certain Bayo Akinfenwa. The free kick went to Wycombe ....

I’ve been cautious with my forecast because AFC have been a bogey team to us for so long. But I thought we were unlucky not to get a point there four months ago and, on the topical issue of goalkeepers, AFC no longer have the outstanding Aaron Ramsdale (on loan from Bournemouth coincidentally!) who was a key figure in their miraculous survival last season and won the Young Player of the Season award despite having been there for only four months.
The lad they have currently, Nathan Trott, is on loan from West Ham. He’s only 20, has no previous senior experience and is not as tall as Ramsdale. Perhaps I’m clutching at bogey beating straws!
Wimbledon are one of those teams who always look bang average and yet somehow regularly get a result against us. Right now I believe we can beat any side in this division, but somehow I feel this will be a scrappy, bad-tempered 1-1 draw.
