Looks an exciting line up - but then most of ours are these days!> @th100 said:
I'm assuming anyway, considering I think Charles has played LB before. Phillips doesn't strike me as a full-back.
Grimmer being out makes it an ideal way to keep Phillips in, to keep him confident, albeit at right back, with Charles able to step straight into his main position.
Their gamesmanship is well rehearsed and has already resulted in a yellow for Giles-Phillips. Their left wingers are going down so easily but the ref has spotted it and waved the last two falls away, then given the first foul this season for a rugby style waist grab on the beast. Intriguing contest thus far...
Fred looks decent down the right, Bayo not getting much.... Pattison looks good, but very quiet from Wheeler and Freeman so far. Will be interesting to see how the second half goes, especially with Phillips picking up the booking.... We could be very vulnerable down their left side

A shorter preview this time, as I'm sure people will have as little time to read it as I did to write it. https://chairboyscentral.com/2019/08/20/the-chairboys-central-preview-lite-fleetwood-v-wycombe/
Thanks for putting that together @th100
Phillips at RB? And how great is it to see Darius Charles back on a football pitch?
Interesting team - Charles starting in defence for injured Grimmer. People making the trip are rewarded with a start for Freeman and no Bloomfield
Starting XI
Allsop
Phillips
Stewart
Charles
Jacobson
Freeman
Pattison

Wheeler
Fred
Bayo
Subs

Could be either...I have bowed to your superior knowledge and edited my post!
Could have and should have put Gardiner-Smith as RB!
I'd say even Stewart could play full-back?
Options all round, very nice to see.
Surely CMS, Parker and Scotty can't all be happy though.
Also wonder if it's a sign Pattinson will have to play a bit deeper until he can find the target.
Cue Pattison scoring... (I hope).
A lot of forward power on the bench (cue injuries to Stewart, Darius, JJ...)
Phillips played right back at Maidenhead !!
Get the feeling there are goals in this line up!
Phillips warming up with Jacobson, Charles with Stewart.

I was going to whisper quietly that a goal now and we would top the 'as it stands' table.
But as soon as I even thought about writing it, Blackpool went and scored.
Fleetwood should have scored a couple of times but still anyone’s game.

I was thinking the same thing!
We're still third in League 1 'As it stands'!
4-4-2 or 4-3-3?
Beaaaast
GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Fleetwood will do well this season, beat Peterborough away first game comfortably. What a win and signal of intent this would be.
BLOCKS
We wish.
