Portsmouth was torrential downpour in a short period that left standing water on the pitch and in the entrance to the changing rooms. I had to wade back to my car that night.
I also remember an unpleasant afternoon a Accrington a few years ago.
But, I agree that Gillingham was the most miserable - combination of persistent rain, lack of shelter, cold wind added to giving up a two goal lead.

Believe it or not @NorsQuarters that was 23 October 2013. I was there. A thunderstorm of biblical proportions.
I remember Chester away in August 04/05 (?). It wasn’t raining at 630 but by 745 the dugouts were under water.
