  • I seem to remember horrendous conditions at halftime in that Bristol Rovers game... (ahem).
Portsmouth was torrential downpour in a short period that left standing water on the pitch and in the entrance to the changing rooms. I had to wade back to my car that night.
I also remember an unpleasant afternoon a Accrington a few years ago.
But, I agree that Gillingham was the most miserable - combination of persistent rain, lack of shelter, cold wind added to giving up a two goal lead.

Was it worse than Portsmouth(?) the season before that was called off? I flew over for that one...

Believe it or not @NorsQuarters that was 23 October 2013. I was there. A thunderstorm of biblical proportions.

  • I remember Chester away in August 04/05 (?). It wasn’t raining at 630 but by 745 the dugouts were under water.

  • Joysus @micra Time flies when you're drowning in debt

  • Coventry at home was pretty raw

  • But floating languidly in the Caribbean must make time stand still?

  • Sorry, that comment to @NorsQuarters.

  • Sounds nice whatever.

  • I like a bit of languidity, me
