I got nominated for the last one in 2019 which was a massive surprise as I’d never heard of it, which meant somebody must have put me forward for consideration. Whoever that was, thank you!
Currently having a think about how best to do RTB with limited match day access at the moment.
great Lockdown-busting work lately @bluntphil The chat between @chairboyscentral and Dave Wheeler on mental health was excellent and the interview with the Gasman was a joy, experienced on a snowy walk round the park this morning. Thanks to you and all your contributors.
I would lack authenticity @micra after 33 years down here to my Midlands brethren I now apparently sound like Danny Dyer. (although of course my southern friends and family still insist on explaining electric light, mentioning whippets, flat caps, tin baths in front of the fire and other Northernist witticisms)
The bath in front of the fire made me smile.
When the family moved from Maidstone to Tonbridge in 1956, I was still at Maidstone Grammar School and I stayed with a family who had a small corner shop. They had a galvanised iron “bath” which I could Just about sit in with my knees under my chin.
It was in the kitchen. Nothing as luxurious as a fire. I think I followed their 13 year old daughter in the pecking order. I must have been 17 and was just starting to “take note”. She was no Sabrina but was moving in the right direction. Happy days.
Great to be nominated again, although this year it will be decided by public vote.
Despite being up against pods on Man City, Leeds etc, I fully expect that we will win the award** With over a week of voting to go, there are plenty of opportunities for us to make up the necessary votes.
I met this morning with Uri and the Regional Accents Dept and articulated my expectations.
VOTE Ringing The Blues!
** For those at the back - I’m joking. Delighted to be nominated again and obvs have no chance on a tribal vote. COYB!
A well deserved nomination again. It's silly deciding it by public vote but I've cast mine, for what it's worth.
Dare I say that on the back of today's revelation that Rob Couhig is dictating what the media team can and can't talk about that an independent voice on the club is more important now than ever?

As a result will they be displaying a more free flowing presentation style in the next RTB’s or do you anticipate yet more dull predictable formulaic renditions guaranteed to turn the fans away?
I nominated you in several categories, I’m very surprised not to see you in the shortlist for commentator of the year. Voted anyway, that email you sent to all listeners this morning made me rather scared not to.
Excellent listening. The more I hear from Rob Couhig , the more I think we are in very good hands. Loved it that he said if we go down , we will aim to go straight back up.

Looking forward to this one. Mental health is my profession so great to hear you are promoting this.
Nice surprise for the evening.

Opposition view reader was that Craig Cash, Brian Clough or Alan Bennett?
Oh! Thought it was you @Wendoverman.

More good work, Phil. You do a terrific job.
Excellent interview from RC, should quieten a few of the conspiracy theorists and those that were letting their imagination run a little wild
Top listen that Phil, with a proper scoop. Good to hear Rob answering your direct questions.
