If you are in a position to know that, then why are you repeating it here when it isn’t public knowledge?
This is different to your usual whistle-blowing type stuff - there is no potential advantage for this info to be spread whether it is either truth or speculation.
@marlowchair , you seem pretty sure. Enough to quote a club, potentially QPR then?
Can't see Bloomfield taking over. This is a highly difficult job as it is, without expecting someone to take over just because he's played here for a long time, and does a bit of coaching on the side.
People kept saying Hayes was being groomed to take over too.
GA leaving is clear evidence of the total mess that Trevor and his cronies have got us into. They’ve had to go begging to QPR to give us wads of cash to take him off our hands so that we’ve still got a ground to play on next year.
It’s total incompetence. Gareth really didn’t want to go to that Championship club, where he’s a hero with the fans for a paltry 500% pay rise. It’s a dereliction of duty and they should be chained to the Loakes Park gates and be whipped within an inch of their lives.
Is that about right Marlow? (Apart from the poetic licence at the end. I appreciate that you aren’t a violent person)
Genuine question @marlowchair (and don’t take that last one seriously).
Given that there is nothing at stake next week, will the club announce it beforehand to allow the crowd to show their appreciation to Gareth?
I ask as I’m toying whether to come down given the logistical problems in getting back up t’north with the game not finishing until 19.30. If they do I definitely will make the effort.
And whilst I am basking in the mildly inebriated glow of staving off relegation, I really must take issue with the wording of your poll @marlowchair. I am not a legal person but I am a health and safety professional and I’m pretty sure that the board have no legal duty of care to the club that they can technically breach (the club has a duty of care to its employees and spectators but that’s a different issue).
I'm hoping QPR have got enough money for a couple more expensive high profile 'proven at this level' disasters before they take a punt on a lower part of league one manager myself. Selfish I know.
Apologies for returning to the original gist of this thread. I'm curious to know what asset other than Adams Park do fellow posters think might be offered as security against a loan of, say, half a million quid?

Think Bloomfield will take over after Gaz.
Doubt it, unless he is prepared to move his family from Suffolk.
How does it work for him now?
Does he drive in for a couple of hours back and forward every day? Or does he hang about here in the week?
I can't believe someone could do such a physical job and be in a car 4hours a day 5 days a week?!
I've seen a couple of interviews where he says he stays in the legendary Sands house sometimes. Couldn't do that if he was manager.
While it would be a good appointment for continuity I'd much rather see him be coach or #2 first

I don’t speculate
I should hope not; disgusting habit.

Breaking confidence just to boast?

I would suggest that managing any club is more time consuming than playing!

Presumably if this all a done deal it'll all be announced quickly after fleetwood?

Does anyone know what the interest rate is on that loan the Americans made to us by the way?
Anyone know how close we are to paying the loan off ??
