6701 with 1800 away
6345 1723
6400 / 1700
6,124 with 1,789 playing up
6170 including 1670 Pompey (1800 reduced by 7.4% to reflect no-shows).
6,588 including 1,772 away
6,269 (1,769 away)
6243 including 1744 away
6,503 with 1,789 Portsmouth.
Oh dear, I’m beginning to think that Portsmouth really have sold their full allocation (as indicated on their website) and that (for the Oxford game) we didn’t!
7.4% (134) did seem a disproportionate number of no-shows/lost in transits.
In accordance with the rules, I therefore wish to retain my total attendance estimate (6170) but I will transform 100 unsuspecting Chairguys and gals into Pompey fans, making their total 1770.
I now have a feeling the gate tomorrow will be nearer seven thousand than six which puts @Glenactico in the driving seat.
5,999 with 1,750 away please
6500 including 1800 from Portsmouth
6480 with 1769 away. (I may reassess if I arrive to find they've sold my usual seat to a dirty man in a blue top hat covered in tattoos...)
6189 with 1748 away
6666 with 1789 away
6,405 with 1800 of whom the bell tolls
5858 with 1717
6,072, including 1748 in the away end.
6014 including 1765 from Portsmouth
Match day morning and the spreadsheet has been updated:
20 predictions so far.
Average for Total Crowd: 6288
Average for Away Crowd 1749
Up the Blues.
5970 with 1770
6379 with 1778 with a trophy hangover.
Been given as 6,978 with 1,810 Portsmouth.
Didn’t look anywhere near as many as that but there we go.
As I predicted, @Glenactico seems to be closest. Well done, sir/madam.
Pleased to see a healthy home crowd and that my expectations were somewhat closer than others. Alas, I don’t believe I was close enough to improve on my tenth best prediction.
Belated congratulations @Glenatico - everyone fell short of the actual attendance just as they did for the Oxford game, @Glenactico was 277 out with a prediction of 6701.
@Doob and @ForeverBlue were the others within 400.
Good luck with the Charlton game forecasts. I will update the 'Tour de Season' soon, but I don't believe there are many changes to that table.
All to play for ......
