Apologies to all for being tardy with the congratulations - thank you all for 28 predictions, good to have one from @Oz:
@Thicketblue produced some very brilliant predicting - tip of the hat to @micra for the phraseology, @Thicketblue closest with 4875, just 4 away from the actual total of 4879 and indeed 475 for the away crowd, (missed by just 3).
@mooneyman as has been previously mentioned - brilliant predicting just 9 away with 4888.
It is very unusual to have two forecasts within single figures.
As we reach the business end of the season, our crowd predictions are improving on a week by week basis - especially for home games - our final collective forecast was 4857, out by only 22.
Honourable mentions for everyone whose forecasts were within a hundred of the actual crowd: there were 10 other than @mooneyman and @Thicketblue who are out on their own at the top for this game.

I believe the 'Tour de Season' table will look even tighter than it did last week, with many people improving their averages.
Congratulations all round for excellent predicting this week, shame about the result of the game.
On to Peterborough, an to get to game for me. Thread up soon. My advice would be to not follow too closely my forecast.
You can keep making mistakes and repeating the scores on the doors as much as you like. I am in shock to be top of the pile for a week. My almost perfect guess is most unlikely to be repeated!
Only trouble with the mistakes is putting them right and then I then don't update the 'Tour de Season' or post a thread for the 'Posh on Saturday' game. Apologies.
Never mind, it is the anticipation that is important and I have had a brief look and I think that table will look as exciting than any of the top four divisions with regard to the title race.

Thanks for that @Ozzie_the_Relaxed !
No doubt you devised a Cupid stunt on Valentines Day.
Yes and it was in the best possible taste......
4789 with 546 gillingham
Been given as 4,879 with 472 Gillingham.
Brilliant efforts by @mooneyman (total gate) and @BlueBoy (away fans).
Being described as brilliant by the distinguished @micra has made my day!
Distinguished, eh? Phew!
Have a great day @mooneyman.

The away crowd - 23 of the 28 predictions were within 100: so honourable mentions for those in single figures - @BlueBoy (2), @Thicketblue (3), @bookertease (4) and @tewkesburychairboy (6)

Apologies to @Thicketblue. Brilliant.
Have to get the fine-toothed comb out next time.
@railwaysteve I believe you may have erroneously attributed my prediction of 4,924 to a Mr ryan_w_kirby!
Apologies to @ReadingMarginalista - I will sort it before I do the 'Tour de Season' spreadsheet.
Here is the revised chart for the day, sorry for the mistake:

Should have bought a Lottery ticket! ?
