Aw poor old Derek

Did nasty Janners call you horrible names. Bless.

Bizarre.

  • They appear to be completely falling apart.
Would be good if it could carry on as they could fill 1 of the 4 spots we are looking to avoid.
That said they were in a comparable position last season and ended up 7th, so I won't get my hopes up yet.

  • To be fair I think it is commendable and right for Plymouth to make a public statement like that.

DA is an employee of theirs and they do have a duty of care towards him and some of the language used can go beyond what should be acceptable. We don’t have to go back far, start of last season in fact, to remember some of our own over-stepping the mark towards GA.

Having said all that, I don’t have too much sympathy for DA. He is a total and complete $€%#€$%#%$>#^€.

  • Agree to some extent @bookertease , and we only have to remember our pondlife on that video after the Rovers defeat abusing him to know how some "fans" turn toxic quickly.

However, where was the statement from Plymouth when their manager, who is notorious for being an obnoxious wind up merchant was doing his stuff to other managers?

  • Even allowing for @Malone's not unreasonable perspective, I fully agree with @bookertease on this one.

  • Indeedy. I dread to think what my some of our finest were tweeting ten minutes in on Saturday . I don't like Adams but that's half the fun of football innit? A scuffle on the touchline here...a rant at the fourth official here...a mental 3cr interview there.

  • Yup, I'm with Booker. It's one thing to be disgruntled about the state of things but one needs to express oneself properly.

  • Tired of reading about Plymouth

  • Well @peterparrotface, @DevC is only writing about his local club.

  • Poor Derek, apparently he's not happy that people are accusing him of having a bigger budget than them: https://bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46309181

  • Can’t believe they didn’t get rid of him last week. Will be gone by Christmas

Amazing that he doesn't acknowledge the achievements of GA then?

  • I was thinking i can't wait to see him get the sack but on second thoughts i want him to stay and get them relegated as Plymouth fans are a bunch of ****s!

  • He's also whinging about clubs not declaring their budgets:

I really don't think this would work in his favour. Surely Plymouth are one of the bigger spenders, with a top 7 attendance, and a chairman so rich he can afford to dole out over £4m for a new stand.

I don't think it would make for pretty reading comparing their budget to their current league standing.

  • Sue he was moaning on about this when we were both in L2 and he almost certainly had a budget hugely bigger than ours. He was, wasn't he?

  • To be fair @StrongestTeam some Gasroomers don't believe we have a small budget!

Some Pilgrims don't believe they aren't in the Champions League.

  • To be fair to Adams (not something I am minded to be), the new chairman (installed a couple of weeks ago) is funding the new stand but the team. The previous chairman who was not really a football fan made it very clear when he rescued them from administration that he would give time and expertise but not money. By all accounts their budget is surprisingly small - bottom quartile allegedly - but obviously still way more than ours.
