Doesn’t say how they’re getting these numbers. If they’ve taken average or aggregate crowds for the first two (?) rounds of midweek games and compared with the average figure for the whole of last season then the comparison could be easily skewed. If Pompey, Coventry, Charlton and the other well supported teams hadn’t played many or any home Tuesday night games yet then that would distort the results.
We’ll only really know at the end of the season and once adjusting for any changes in Saturday attendances - e.g if tues night crowds fall 5% then that needs to considered in the context of Saturday crowds dropping 10% for example
