It certainly feels like we’ve brought the axe down on a disproportionate number of managers. I wonder if it’s true or if there’s just so many sackings it feels that way.
An early one I remember is Barnet manager Roger Thompson getting sacked after we won 1-0 there, in an FA Trophy 1st Round match in December 85. I was sat behind Stan Flashman, his face was like thunder at the final whistle, he dismissed him within an hour.
His overly sensitive and frustrated behaviour in the technical area Saturday looked a man under pressure.his language and focus on GA and RD was strange at times too.it looks like he knew this was coming.
Another mad sacking. Allow the guy to sign a hatful of signings then sack him. If you supported him to finance the new players then at least give him a chance to work the squad into what he wanted. Its like these chairman act like the guy stole the chequebook and signed new players without consent.
If you do make it up to the expanses and comfort of the Keepmoat on Saturday, try and imagine yourself as a Rovers supporter (okay not easy I appreciate) 20 years ago. This must have seemed an impossible dream for them.

It isn't a sacking though is it? I thought he had resigned?
Indeed Bowyer resigned
Blackpool Gazette certainly makes its views clear

...convicted after his evidence was described as ''devious, waffle and piffle''. Lovely turn of phrase
