Our European friends
Recent pre-season opponents Le Havre reached the play-offs this season aiming to reach the top tier in France. After stroking Brest (aside), they went out on penalties to Ajaccio. Perhaps they have never recovered mentally from The Beast's Wycombe debut when he was sent to the changing room for aggressively defending his team-mates?
Avranches (or is it Coutances?) came a creditable 5th in the 3rd tier.
SC Verl remain one of the most boring teams in Germany, once again finishing mid-table in the Regionalliga West (3rd tier). I imagine the main topic of conversation in the biergartens of that sleepy village continues to be the Wycombe invasion of a few years ago.

Now a friendly against Ajaccio would be worth the trip. Corsica is a beautiful place and they like the British.
More than they like the Normans I hope..

I love this quote from midfielder Jean-Pascal Fontaine, "Whilst the incident was stressful for all our players I did not think it necessary to postpone the match. When you have confronted 'Le Beast' in an angry mood, it puts events like this in perspective!"
Oh yes ils detest les frenchies. Britain helped them to independence first time round you see. Nelson and that.
