Interesting that no-one has scored more than 6 goals for Burton this season. As with most of the tops teams in the division, the goals have been shared around. Perhaps the days of desparately searching for the elusive 20 goal a season man are over? It does seem to be better to have 5 or 6 regular scorers, than being over reliant on 1 player who could get injured, transfered, or lose form at any given time?
Why, oh why, don't lower league refs, play the rules of the game. If Keepers handle the ball outside of the box, and even worse deny the opponent an opportunity to score, its a straight red card.
What makes it worse, the ref gave a yellow card, so an offence was obliviously committed.
He knows the rules, and you don't. It's only a straight red if it's denying a goal scoring opportunity, which the ref seems to have judged that it was not.
Wasn't at the game and haven't seen the incident, but the BBC 3Counties commentary seemed to suggest that Fred would have had an open goal tap in had the keeper not caught the ball outside the area. I do agree with the point though, that it has to be denying a goal scoring opportunity for a red card, many people seem to think a keeper handballing outside the area is an automatic red, but that's incorrect.
@kiscokid .... or a scramble with the last defender in a one on one with Fred and his bag of tricks, causing the last defender to split his shorts doing the splits as Fred waltz's the ball in to score.
End of the day, appalling refereeing again within such a short time. C'mon Football gods time to make amends.

Well done GA, you know it makes sense Wycombe: Ingram, Yennaris, Jacobson, Mawson, Pierre, Bean, Bloomfield, Wood, Onyedinma, Hayes, Holloway.
Coyb!

It was a deliberate handball outside the box due to a bad error. If he'd have not held the ball it would have gone over his head for a tap in.
