Wanderer Fanzine out tomorrow!

‘Announce a Wanderer’, cried Wycombe fans on social media, ‘We’re the only club not to have brought out a fanzine yet. At this rate we’re going to have to start the season with just eighteen 35-year-old copies of Chairboys Gas.’

Patience fellow swan-botherers. Rather than rush into a panic release, we at Wanderer Towers have been biding our time, carefully putting in meticulous groundwork to ensure that any new arrival would be a quality new addition to The Wanderer back catalogue and we are now delighted to ‘announce’ that Issue 108 of The Wanderer will be unveiled to the fans prior to the game against Lincoln this Saturday.

With a distinctive front cover, specifically designed by Barry Richardson in order to catch the eye and confuse people who were hoping to buy a matchday programme instead, this new issue boasts sixty (yes, SIXTY) pages, including an exclusive interview with Gareth Ainsworth, part one of a feature on Wycombe’s one hit wonders, a guest article by the Kick It Out campaign and of course tributes to our late Chairman Ian Nixon.

FREE to WWISC members and just £1.50 to non-members, it will be on sale before the game from the WWISC stand in the Righton carpark, between the two origin buildings, just after the turning for Fitzgeralds Way. If you wish to join WWISC and become entitled to free copies of the fanzine, please ask at the table. There is also an application form towards the back of the fanzine.

Can’t make it to Lincoln? A second round of sales are planned for the game against Notts County on the 19th. If you can’t make that either and want a copy, contact WWISC at [email protected] and they might be able to help you out. Alternatively, join WWISC and pay to have your (free) copies posted out to you – never miss an issue again!
