What a lovely article. I really like pieces like this, that don't pretend to be anything other than one person's opinion but which cast things in a pleasant light without overstating their qualities. And a nice photo of the ground! Thanks for sharing it.
I missed the partridge incident..although thinking about it, I don't recall seeing any partridges at all last season. I hope this absence isn't prophetic, like the Barbary macaques on the Rock of Gibraltar or the Ravens at the Tower of London....Doomed, were all doomed I tell you.
The Inverness one would be a lot higher up in my book! What a setting!

What a really good article so well written.
Good to see Villa Park so high up -definitely my favourite ground other than Adams Park - all the best bits of a modern stadium (excellent views) with most of the character of an old ground intact.
