Bucks Blues Fest

All you 'Blues' fans, the Bucks Blues Fest takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Bucks Students' Union in High Wycombe, just across the road from the old Loakes Park.

Details at https://www.bucksstudentsunion.org/bucksbluesfest/, timings at: https://twitter.com/BucksBluesFest. Early Bird prices are still being advertised.

It should be good, I'm going on both days, I've seen several of the acts in the past year and I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Del Bromham (ex Stray) again on Saturday. A superb guitarist and an engaging raconteur in between numbers. Hitman Blues are a big, American ensemble, both Storm Warning and The Barnstormers give you authentic Blues. I haven't seen Dr Feelgood since they appeared with Eddie & The Hot Rods at Wycombe Town Hall in the early '90s and, although the original members are long gone, their songs are timeless.

The Students' Union did a very good job of hosting the Ramblin' Roots festival earlier this year, the venue is ideal, the main stage has a large standing area in front and the side bar hosts the smaller acts. Drinks are a good price and there are food tents outside. It's really pleasing to see the town once again having a good standing venue, hosting national and international acts.
