Looks like Sam is heading out to Portland Timbers
You sure that's not just a holiday?
Strange place for a holiday of all places in the US?
He's very good friends with Liam Ridgewell who plays for Portland Timbers and has been out there watching him before.
That said though, it could be a great move for him if there is more to it.
Yep, he referenced the above and saying looking forward to see him soon etc on his twitter a few weeks ago.
That would be great for him - hope it's true.
@bill_stickers Pacific North West lovely part of America, much nicer than the likes of Florida.
Wood to Timbers sounds like a perfect fit
Hope he copse a good deal.
It'll be good for him to branch out.
I was sad to see him leave.
Do they play root one soccer?
He'd always arbred hopes of working oversees
That would be a great move for him, MLS isn't stronger anywhere than the Pacific Northwest.
First thought was he will go to Boreham Wood. But he's surely better than that and should find a bigger club than them. Forest Green it is.
I thought some of these comments were a but odd, but then I twigged.
Portland Timbers and Wood. It must be because he wants to cement his relationship with Liam.
I can't be-leave he left us.
believe it. I have Concrete evidence
This is certainly acorn-y thread.
I hope he conkers America
I think chopper Harris played there
Just hope they don't take him for a sap
If He doesn't get picked he can spend more time on the beech
I wonder if he'll pine for home?

I fir cone hope not.
Yew'd hope he would pull up some trees. I'm sure we'll all be rooting for him.
Enough wooden jokes about this. Just respect him for being willing to go that far to play. It takes a lot of balsa.
If he signs for them he will get a Tree-mendous welcome
At least he won't be getting stick from those planks in the terrace
Likely to be captain I hear - apparently he is very good at barking out orders.
