Oxford United
Heard today that Kassam wants to sell the ground for housing and that one proposal is to l play at Wycombe until another ground is built. Also heard about a money man from Monaco want to buy them.

I heard a very loud and obnoxious man in a suit talking on his phone on the train from London to Oxford a while ago. From what he was saying, he represented some kind of consortium looking to buy the club & the ground.
Definitely seems something is on the horizon for them, but who knows what it is.
Is Richie away on holiday?
Clubs that move out before the new ground is built, often end up in dire straits.
It's a tragedy what's happened to Worcester City and their wonderful St George's Lane ground.

Well the second half of @Chickenhead 's post is true. I sure as hell hope the first half isn't.

The idea of playing at Wycombe was mentioned speculatively in a Radio Oxford interview back in January but it was a merely a potential idea suggested by the journalist, not from anyone connected to Oxford. From what I've been reading in the Oxford press the last couple of weeks, if a takeover happens, it would go hand in hand with purchasing the current ground.
In fairness, Oxford never actually finished building this ground!
