If Dev crashes his car as long as he's the only one in it i wouldn't be upset. How can anyone defend his bullshit is beyond me. He knows nothing about our club and how it is currently run as he doesn't turn up to watch the team he claims to support. I blocked the wum as i was fed up with his pathetic bullshit.
Well that's the most intelligent post you've put up for ages but you're still a waste of space who knows nothing about the club you claim to support. Run along as a train full of schoolgirls will be arriving for you to perv over.
@robin, The problem here, is that when you make such a ferocious attack, even on someone many believe always takes the "devil's advocate/maximum troll" angle, is that you actually create sympathy for said poster!
Robin old mate we all (well most of us) know dc is a slimy creepy oddbod who thrives on being the centre of attention, just press the ignore button son (and keep it pressed), makes the gasroom a much nicer place to be...
@RogertheBandito some of us think @DevC is an interesting contributor to the Gasroom who receives an unnecessary level of personal abuse, even if we don't always agree with him.

Nice! I was surprised by the level of vitriol. It stems. I suspect, from an inability to grasp the concept of polemics - a highfalutin way of saying that the guy does not appreciate @DevC's ability to analyse and present the different and often opposing aspects of an argument or proposition.
Those of us who have known DevC (on the Gasroom) for some time are aware that family circumstances and geography (South Devon?) mean that he is only able to get to Adams Park infrequently. His knowledge of, and commitment to, the Wanderers is obvious. You don't have to go to matches on a regular basis to be aware of what is going on both on and off the field - TV highlights, Chairboys Player, Gasrooms 1 and 2, and the official club website are just a few of the sources of information available to people in DevC's situation. I think it is commendable that he retains his interest and, like Chris, I find his contributions interesting and thought provoking whether I agree with him or not.

@DevC himself said that you had to see and hear every minute of evidence before being able to make an accurate view on that evidence. He was, of course, talking rubbish but he did rather box himself in to a corner that I've not been able to forget when judging posts since.
No-one though deserves the type and level of abuse @robin dished out last night. It went beyond any level of debate and the user should either say sorry or be banned.
Thank you for the kind comments, they are appreciated. I have been posting on this forum and its predecessor for far too many years - much to the amusement and frankly contempt of those dear to me. In that time, I have rarely agreed with Righty and here's another time.
Robin posted something he probably shouldn't have and probably now regrets, that's life we've all done it, but its only an internet message forum, no harm done, move on.
When you live in a village with such a daft name that tourists stop to picture its sign and it features on RAC advertising campaigns , http://www.tellyads.com/play_advert/?filename=TA4278&type=recent you tend to develop a thick skin. Abuse on an internet forum tends to wash over me tbh. No need for a ban or an apology etc, lets move on.
All perhaps should reflect that personal abuse , unless it is accompanied by real wit (Eric P is perhaps the best exponent of that on this board (bastard!)) is invariably dull and invariably reflects worse in the eyes of other readers on the writer than on the victim.
All who post here support WWFC. We all differ in our views of the future for the club, but we all care about it. There aren't a huge number of us, so best perhaps if those that do stick together, muck along with each other and enjoy the good days. Hopefully another in a long line at Plymouth on Monday.
those who can get down, welcome to my patch. I salute you for travelling so far, I know to my cost just how far and how mind-numbing that journey can be. If you can get down a bit earlier and can enjoy lunch on the Hoe or the Barbican , better still. If you can stay over a couple of days and get to enjoy the coast path and the moors that I love so much, even better still. Whatever you choose to do , have a great Christmas and a wonderful new year supporting our club.
And Robin, if I do see a supporter with an unusually red face, moving his head in an unusual bobbing fashion and munching a particularly juicy worm in the Home Park stands, I'll wander over and shake your wing.
I missed @robin's comment as I have him blocked. Not sure it's worthy of a ban, but I'd imagine it has earned him a few more blocks. On the plus side, never thought I'd see a post from Righty defending Dev, so maybe Robin is some kind of ghost of Christmas past. Merry Christmas everyone.
Should a moderator be blocking any poster as how will you know whether Robin et al makes a libellous post at any time? Happy Christmas and thanks for your invaluable contribution to this forum.

Yep. Set off around 2.00 to give plenty of time to collect ticket.
Either driving very fast or starting from a different place!
So do the police.

I see bird-brain's back.
Bob-Bob-Bob -Bob Off now. There's a good chap.

What a fucking idiot
Festive spirit alive & thriving on the gasroom I see!
Tis the season to be troll-y
@robin if DevC winds you up so much you should probably follow your own advice and block him.

Amen!
Surely we can all agree that wishing a car crash upon someone makes that person a fucking idiot?
It's hardly controversial
Agreed
Why hasn't the car crash post been deleted? It's offensive, stupid and abusive beyond belief. I'd go as far to say worthy of a ban.
Anyone in charge care to explain the rules on this
The clue is in the username.

Well said...
Dev can be verbose and contrarian at times, but the Gasroom would be a poorer place without him.
Not everyone can get to games every week. Doesn't mean they can't have opinions.
