Wycombe Wanderers, when/if you reach a hundred years of age...

edited March 2015 in Football

Two grandparents (from both sides of my family) will reach a hundred years of age within the next month. It got me thinking, when I reach a hundred (still over half a century to go!) I wonder where Wycombe Wanderers will be. Will we still be in football league? Will we reach the premiership or even be still in business? Will we have forgotten about St. Martin?

Where do you think the club will be when you reach a hundred?

  • Only planning to reach 80 but am putting down forty years worth of WWFC Trust membership and five hundred shares as its forty years in June since I popped out at The Shrubbery! Long live the Chairboys, barmy army and all!

  • Fifty-seven years to go for me...(and I've got NO chance).
All I hope for is that the Wanderers are still representing the town.
I was home for an all too rare visit for the Shrews/Stanley double-header and as ever, found more & more of the Wycombe I grew up in either bulldozed or Tesco Metro'd.
I love the thought that a hundred years ago, folk were excitedly striding to watch the Wanderers, feeling just the way I did as I approached the ground on Saturday... and hopefully, many more generations of Wycombian's will get to experience the same buzz.
I fully expect us to be Champions of Europe by 2072, but will settle for still being a proud stand alone football club.

  • @Weegie Did some one mention Buzz?
