Bloomfield column - referees

I have always tried to get on with referees, but have played both with and against players who continually berate officials from the first whistle to the last.

I wonder which Wycombe players he might be referring to.

  • No mention of his own insatiable diving habit I see. And I don't think too many people who've watched how his team play are going to worry themselves about Gareth Ainsworth's tips on how to improve refereeing.

  • Totally agree @arnos_grove . Bloomfield has turned in to a diver in recent years.

Surely the best way to improve refereeing is to get players to stop cheating and give refs the best chance to make the right decisions.

  • Lee Probert is certainly one of the best; we've had him twice already this season so that's probably our lot! Back to the dross now no doubt.

Indeed. And that's why I can't take managers whining about refereeing standards seriously
