Having a 'game plan' seems to be the latest back-handed compliment we keep getting from managers. Shouldn't all managers have one? Or do other teams turn up five minutes before a game with their boots and just busk it?
It's like the unwritten wording round it, is that our choice of gameplan wasn't what they approved of.
Other examples being the classic "we know what to expect from them"
"They do what they do well and it's effective"
