£15 to stand at St Albans tonight
A bizarre evening. Went to watch Sergio Torres for Whitehawk at Hemel Hempstead Town. Got to the ground to find there was a power cut affecting the local area and the match might not take place.
Rather than await the outcome made a dash over to Clarence Park to see St Albans City v Poole Town in the Narional League South. It would have been £12 to get in at Hemel (now called off) but St Albans was a staggering £15 just to get in. This isn't even the main National League.
Fortunately it's been an entertaining game so far, despite their narrowing the pitch greatly this year. Despite a bright opening by Poole the home side are 2-0 up at half-time. A header from a corner after 3 mins and then a well-worked goal set up by Junior Morias after 34 mins.

Full-time: St Albans City 4 Poole Town 0
A comfortable win in the end for the home side in front of 485 fans (a couple of dozen from Dorset). Although Poole tried to claw back a two-goal half-time deficit they were ineffective in the final third.
Saints' centre-forward Louie Theophanous added to his first-half goal with 15 mins to go and completed his hat-trick with virtually the last kick of the game.
A balmy evening in St Albans and a very entertaining game. All set up now for next Tuesday's feisty local derby when St Albans entertain Hemel Hempstead Town.
No quarter given on that occasion!!!
