It must be tough being a Burnham supporter this season, given their start in the league:
Played 8; Lost 8; Goal difference -42 already.
And that start for Burnham is in a league two levels below where they were playing two seasons ago. Avoiding a third succesive relegation at the end of this season looks as though it will be a significant achievement.
Haven't kept up with happenings there - has there been some kind of financial meltdown?
Talking of which, our old rivals Oxford City avoided a winding up order with minutes to spare to Monday. Sad state of affairs at a club that briefly looked like they might catch up with their supposedly more illustrious neighbours a couple of seasons ago.
I know Oxford City were being run by a single benefactor so that news isn't very surprising, but what in the world has happened to Burnham?
Always had a soft spot for Oxford City as an Oxford-born Chairboys supporter. The first team I choose on Football Manager each year.
Would be a real shame to see them get wound up.
