I reckon the players appreciated it ..... the Frank Adams stand is the one which could make AP a fortress for the remaining games as it holds most people and I would guess there is an amplification effect from its size . KEEP IT UP !!!!!
I thought for a short while towards the end the Frank Adams was singing "Chairboys" and the terrace were responding with the "Barmy Army". Never heard that happen before.
The terrace was definitely second fiddle to the Frank Adams on Saturday.
Over the years, the small group of singers on the terrace have held a very high opinion of their collective talents but the truth is that the vast majority on the terrace stand mutely for much of the game.
@arnos_grove The atmosphere was great on Saturday and it's about time the Frank Adams made some noise. A shame it's taken so long to get them off their collective backside to lead a chant or two this season. I look forward to more of the same tomorrow night . . . If all goes well they could even try it at some away games. Probably best to leave the longer journeys to "the small group of singers" tho. After all they've had much more practice away from home. .
Mr Grove , singing helps the players perform , which gets results , which increases the crowd size , which increases the coffers . The manager and players do not compliment the silent mass when they have said "the fans were great today" they are complimenting the singing few .
No silent masses in Woodland - just those, as on the terrace, who for their own reasons (introversion, disposition, frailty etc) are quiet. Where I sit we make plenty of noise and old age certainly doesn't hold me back. I've one slight worry about tonight. I hope to return after being unwell on Saturday but it hasn't escaped my notice that we had a good win in my absence! Permission to shout, Cap'n Mainwaring?!
When Block R in the Woodlands wants to, they can get going (and in doing so get the Valley End going too). How long before we get a "Terrace, give us a song" chant from the Woodlands ultras?
@arnos_grove So, more money makes a better supporter? I very much doubt it but as cash seems so important to you I guess I'll see you at the Trust meet putting a few grand in the share scheme then.

Did you write that episode of South Park with the underpant gnomes? Your reply reminded me of it.
If such success as you describe can be guaranteed by singing I'm amazed we don't see church choirs etc. drafted in at stadia across the land.

I suspect if you were to offer the club either money or a lovely singing voice, they'd go for the former.
@bourne70 I have to read what you have written a few times. I am glad you are so passionate about the singing club, long may it continue. Can you include shouts of encouragement in those compliments. The general roar when we attack or get a corner etc.? Or is it just your exclusive singing club that Gaz and the boys love? See I don't get any enjoyment myself listening to some of the songs and wouldn't ever want to join in with "Shit on the floor" But hey each to there own.
It used to bore me when people attacked @bourne70 for once saying he would rather play golf than watch Waddock's team. The endless criticism of him got tedious.
However, the outright hypocrisy of Bourne now attacking others for not singing like he does is beyond belief. At least others who don't sign still turned up to Waddock's games.
Don't attack the "silent mass", when you were part of the "driving range mass"

One of the best atmospheres I've ever heard at Adams Park. When the Frank Adams gets going it's more than a match for the terrace.
If, as and when...the terrace will always be the bastion of the chant. Cheap(er) tickets, standing only: gotta be loudest! Anyway, sing up the Blues!
I agree with NW - Frank Adams owned the terrace on Saturday
Are you joking? Louder than the terrace my foot!

As railwaysteve rightly said Frank Adams in the ascendant

Plenty of the fans in the Frank Adams travel away - and sing!
was a great game and made a great weekend - COYB
@BlueJob I also meant to add that us Woodlanders pay more for our tickets and therefore are actually better supporters than you terrace dwellers.
Singing doesn't pay the bills (unless you've got a recording contract, in which case I apologise)...

Thems fightin' words, let the battle begin! Hope to hear it via Player tonight!

I'd be well up for that. "Terrace, terrace give us a song". You lead and I'll try to get Block Q going!
