For longer-serving supporters
Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but Keith Blunt, Chairboys defender from 1969 to 1971, and a regular in Brian Lee's great 1970-1971 team, sadly passed away last Friday. Condolences to his friends and family.

Thank you for posting the info, yes I remember Blunty, could play at full back or in mid field, scoring the occasional goal sometimes from long distance. Prematurely bald in an era when players looked like hairy rock stars!
RIP and condolences to his family.
Yes, him and Ted Powell, both looked old before their time.
I do remember Blunt's last game for us, the last league match of the season against Ilford, when we'd already won the league. We lost 3-1, and he was directly responsible for two of the Ilford goals, one of them being his own goal. Dampened the post-match celebrations somewhat.

Good player for us I remember so sad day. Thanks for the link but I now feel very old! I'd completely forgotten that we hadn't won the league for ages
Remember Blunty very well from a marvellous era for WWFC.
After a decade of relative mediocrity, interspersed with some great moments, the club suddenly came to life under Brian Lee.
Happy days.
Very sad about Keith's death
These days there's lot of talk about the number of foreign players playing for English clubs,re wind to the non league scene of the late 60s,most Wycombe players came from a radius of 10 miles of the town. When Brian Lee became manager in late 68 he had the connections to attract Amateur Internationals and good players on the fringes of the international scene to Wycombe. Almost overnight we went from a local side to a team of Gallacticos getting in players in from, wait for it,Sutton and Wealdstone! As a consquence we went from also rans to regular league winners.A microcosm of the Premier League 30/40 years later!
