I think last year they pumped up the (poor) gate figures by including season ticket holders who were no longer attending. I suppose if we go along and win...that will (quite strangely) make them happy too....in a way.

I think it's fairly common practice to include season ticket holders in the attendance, whether they're there or not.

Indeed @floyd, but these were not attending en masse on purpose...not just missing a game for a wedding/funeral/mum confiscating season ticket for cider related incident in the Eden.

Didn't know much about the Blackpool situation. Being careful here as apparently there are allegedly some overly litigious sports team owners up north. I would, as such an owner, have had the ground re-zoned to make it more valuable to redevelopment, move it's ownership to a hard to notice subsidiary that can't be touched when I ran the club into oblivion, then clean up with my new shopping centre / entertainment complex / housing development. Allegedly...
