You can please some of the people all the time........ What was Bob Dylan's wonderful variation on that theme?

Talkin' World War III Blues off the Freewheelin' album for those who want to check it out

  • I think the 05-07 effort is better than anything we've had since, apart from the current shirt:

  • Personally I mourn the Tequila Sunrise away kit. Will be hard to come up with anything so distinctive and stylish.

  • @floyd dreadful kit!

  • Looking at the historical kits, surprising how often the top left (etc) has varied between light and dark blue. Top left light blue as you look at it feels the right way round to me but broadly looks like its been about 50/50 over the years.

  • I think the white trim and white shorts highlight the quarters beautifully.
I cant think of a better quartered strip thanthis one.

  • Another chance to look at the 96, 97 home shirt. I bought one of those in a moment of madness although like the Corman films or the brown Allegro it's become a cult classic.

Late 70s you're rocking Adidas but just one year later you're down in the Bukta basement. Grim times.

  • @arnos_grove I was at games where they mixed these strips, ie Bukta shirts,Adidas shorts and visa versa. Im sure there is some pictures somewhere.

  • @Morris_Ital OMG, my eyes, my eyes!!!! Disgusting viewing, ought to have have had a warning prior to opening!

I might have exaggerated when I said it was a classic

  • That 82/83 Norman Reeves / Ford number would be fought over by your London hipster if it went on sale now.

On another note, does anyone know what Trend Communications did? I like to think they invented the internet.

  • Still going apparently, though now called IDEAL Networks - https://www.idealnetworks.net

    Something something cables.

  • I did have a car sticker from that time which proclaimed 'Follow the Trend: Wycombe Wanderers'.

Not that I owned a car on which to stick it.

  • 69 -72 for me. STQ

i've got agree the white shorts do seem to go best with the quarters. Personally I prefer the 54-56 version though.

Any votes for bringing white shorts back?

And didn't we wear them when we brought the quarters back for the Loakes park farewell game?

  • I know we aren't moving away from the quarters, but I do like the vertical striped shirts from 1908-15. If we ever did have a brief change from quarters I'd accept that. The halves shirt we had in 2012-13 was good too.

  • On a different note does anybody remember the first time we where able to buy replica shirts. I think it may have been the Verco shirt but I am not sure.

  • Verco, light blue (not quarters), 1989.

  • Yes, the 1989-90 shirt. I had one of those. It was basically the England third strip but with our crest and sponsor.

  • 64-65 for me, out of the modern ones 05-07 apart from the sponsor

Change kits - Tequila Sunrise, red and white quarters (Dreams version) and the all white from 05-07
