I think the 4-3-3 needs to be given a rest, each formation we've tried this season has worked wonders for 5-6 games until it's been fully scouted out and neutralised by opposition teams.
A shift to a more traditional 4-4-2 may be what's needed for a few games, with a simple McClure off - Rowe on sub to switch back to a 4-3-3/4-5-1. This way we can keep the opposition guessing. We can be a bit more adventurous with formations when we have access to both Hayes and Holloway together.
I am not sure that with Fed as part of a mid-field four that we will be strong enough. I would like to see the midfield four as Murphy, Wood, Bean and Bloomfield (Max could also do this job). Then Fred and Holloway up-front.
