Never had the fortune of visiting The White house ground, but looks to have
far more character than the PNL's Manor ground or The Stade de 3 sides.

That takes me back. The City were our rivals in those days.
The Wanderers had some great matches with Pegasus. I remember a home tie ending in a draw thanks to some amazing saves by Mike Pinner their goalkeeper at the time. The replay was at Iffley Road with us standing behind a rope. Jackie Tomlin scored the winner just in time
First away match I went to was at The White House Ground ,an Amateur Cup Tie in the late 60s that we lost 3-2. I also remember getting a draw there in 71 to win the league for the first time in-14 years and winning 8 nil there in few years later.An unusual ground with three very different seating areas.Non league grounds were certainly varied and unique in those days and had a charm that has been largely lost.
