Transfer Window Rumours

Rich Mayes' time at the club shop appears to be over, after he failed to report for a staff training day. His manager was quoted in the BFP as saying, "We expect a higher level of professionalism from our more experienced interns such as Dicky."

In line with club-shop policy, Mayes will likely be fined half of his lunch (a packet of hula hoops and an egg and cress sandwich). However, it also suggests his zero-hours contract will be renewed at the end of the season. Speculation is mounting that he will move to Tesco before the end of the transfer window, where he will be deployed primarily as a right-sided shelf stacker.

When asked to comment on the controversy surrounding Mayes, Ainsworth simply replied, "Who?".

Aaron Pierre has dismissed rumours that he is on the move, in order to play at a higher level. He told a reporter, "I'm loving my time in Wycombe. The Eden Centre is the dog's bollocks. Where else can you get a Nando's meal, a new suit, and go bowling within 100 meters of each other?"

In a similar fashion, Ingram told GetBucks that he won't be leaving Wycombe either, mostly because of "dem titties at the White Horse'.

It turns out Banton was not actually contracted to either Hartlepool United or Port Vale at all. Instead, he has been undertaking a hiking trip around the North of the country, in order to write a book about British wildlife. In an interview with 'British Ramblers Quarterly', he expressed a desire to complete his road-trip, with Stockport and Scarborough next up on the itinerary.

Finally, Hogan Ephraim's family have filed a missing person's report to Thames Valley Police. TVP did point out that he is hosting a radio show with Marcus Bean called Two Pros in a Pod, but his family said it can't be him as he isn't a professional footballer anymore, and hasn't been for some time.

  • You forgot the latest from the Holloway camp who are deniying rumours that he has been excluded from nursary school for throwing toys out of his pram. In fact he just 'forgot' who pays his wages and it was too cold for a player of his proven ability to be warming the bench( or so Anthony Stewart's ex agent has told him).
