Plans for a new school and community sporting facilities at the former Arbour Vale site are approved.
At a Slough Borough Council meeting held yesterday evening (Tuesday) at The Centre in Farnham Road, approval was granted, subject to certain conditions, for the development of a new school and community sporting facilities at the former Arbour Vale site, including a multi-use synthetic 3G sports flood lit pitch.

Slough Town Football Club are very excited at the approval granted at Tuesday's planning meeting for the development of the community sporting facilities at the former Arbour Vale site.

Obviously there is still a long way to go but it is a huge step in the right direction for bringing Slough Town Football Club home.

Comments

  • Don't like seeing any team playing away from the roots of their home town - even Slough....

  • Fantastic news for our 'original and only' rivals.
Hope they get back to Slough and start moving up the leagues.
WDC - please note the co-operation Slough Town get from their local council!

  • Any local council is more likely to support "school and community facilities" than a fully professional club offering nothing for local sports activities. When you look at what's going on at Cressex and elsewhere in the district our local council aren't exactly dragging their feet.
