"League rules say a home side can wear an away strip once a season but Wycombe refused to change from their regular home kit today."
What league rule is that?! Carlisle were simply paying the price for failing to consider what their change strip would have to be to avoid a situation where both 1st choice and change clash with the 1st choice strip of any of the teams in their league.
The famous varsity blue quarters of Wycombe Wanderers FC quickly re-established itself as a vital part of the club's identity in the early 90s, so we have every right to reserve the right play in them wherever possible, especially at home for a competitive fixture.
Exactly, why should we have to change our kit as a result of someone else's cock up? And who on earth sanctioned them having a change kit of a similar dark shade to their home kit? Surely the point is that it should be as different as possible to avoid exactly this type of problem? It can't be hard at the start of the season to run through all the teams in the division and check for clashes then, to avoid this last minute panic?
I am one of the four fans in the above photo so as you can imagine I had as good a view as you can get and I can assure you it was not a good tackle and it was dangerous .

Another team that hate us , wasn't at the game were we as bad as suggested ?
Carlisle were almost as good as us at time wasting...one of these days someone will jump the barrier and deck the keeper.
What is this about their kit?
@Glenactico Here's an article about it...

My personal favourite: ""The nearer London you get the worse it is IMO."
Also, I wonder if Keith Curle still thinks this two-footed, studs-up lunge is a 'very good tackle'.
Can I nominate the kit clash moan for the "Most Pathetic Whinge Ever" award?
Wow that is a very very bad tackle.
I have watched the video and paused frame by frame. In real time a red but I think in reality a good tackle and may well be rescinded on appeal.

They are appealing it...

I wonder if that image will be part of the supporting evidence!
Out of control, two feet off the ground, endangering an opponent. Potential leg breaker, why on earth are they appealing?!
Appeal rejected
