Out of adversity comes an opportunity........
Very disappointed not to be going to Bristol on Saturday but international call-ups take precedence next week-end. As it's an international week-end, October 10th was chosen as this year's "Non-League Day". Fans of Premier a League and Championship clubs are urged to support local grassroots football for at least one Saturday in the season. This obviously now applies to supporters of Wycombe Wanderers too. Saturday also happens to be FA Cup day (3rd Qualifying Round) where winning teams will be just one game away from pitting their wits against Football League sides in the First Round Proper.
Apart from the FA Cup there are lots of other games to see within striking distance of High Wycome. Below I've listed as many as I can find at all levels. On a separate thread I've asked people to list where they're going and if you fancy adding a brief match report I'm sure it will make for interesting reading. So here's what's on:
FA CUP 3RD QUALIFYING ROUND:
Brackley Town v Rugby Town
Chesham United v North Leigh
Didcot Town v Eastbourne Town
Hemel Hempstead Town v Sutton United
VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE:
Boreham Wood v Welling United
EVO-STIK LEAGUE SOUTHERN DIVISION ONE CENTRAL:
Beaconsfield SYCOB v Royston Town
Kings Langley v Aylesbury United
SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION:
Berkhamsted v Wembley
SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION ONE:
Winslow United v Edgware Town
