Musical homecoming of a Gasroom lurker...
As I begin the quest for my band Halloween Jack to become 'Big In Wycombe', we're proud to be putting on our first hometown (well, for me anyway) gig at the Phoenix on Friday 30th October to celebrate the recent release of our first album. We'll be playing the whole album and then some. And some nice surprises therewith...
If you fancy what should be an actual decent evening of alternative indie rock taking liberal influence from everything from Bowie to the Stone Roses, the Stones to the Inspiral Carpets right on your doorstep, come on down. We've sold out the last few gigs we've headlined in London and now it's time for the big Hometown Gig. Three local bands and a comedian - all for £7.00. Students get in free with valid ID. All kicks off at 7.30pm.
Tickets available online, on the door, or drop me a line and I can sort you out.
A whole plethora of links below to see what we're up to. So if you find yourself liking what you see/hear, then come along and support the Gasroom's very own little ol' Cindy.
Cheers then.

Is Halloween Jack a character in Spiderman?
Close peterparrotface. 'Jack O'Lantern' I think....In case you were actually wondering...and weren't joking.
No I was actually wondering.
Where does Halloween Jack come from then? Its Bowie isn't it?
Yeah it's a Bowie character from Diamond Dogs. "Halloween Jack is a real cool cat, And he lives on top of the Woodland Terrace". Something like that.
Ah but if you google then PPF is correct. Bowie may well have been referencing Marvel.
@CindyIncidentally Love that version of the lyric. I'll hear it like that any time I ever hear that song again from now on. Think I may have to dust off my old vinyl and give it a spin.
@Uncle_T I'm sure it's what Bowie meant, even if he didn't quite sing those lyrics. Put it on and turn it up nice and loud. I want to hear it from my bodger's hut!
good to hear, but you'll have to go some to beat the tuba player out of Monkey Swallows the Universe.
Nah he longed to play the tuba but never made it.
One day his smbu interview will be published.
