I have expressed surprise several times on here that he was not retained at Adams Park.
At the time he left he was well on the way to becoming the strapping lad he is now but I suspect there may have been reasons other than pure footballing ability why he was "allowed to leave".
As we know, character. personality and (in most cases!) intelligence are qualities which weigh more heavily with WW management than at many clubs. And rightly so in my (not so humble) opinion. How I hate that term.
Be interesting to see if he gets to the level of another player discarded by us, namely Ikechi Anya. Apparently from a Watford mate he is playing so well he has now displaced the full back they signed for £3m this year who played all but 2 games for Roma the Italian runners up last season!
He may play for Scotland as an attacking midfielder but currently at Watford he is employed either as a full back in a flat back 4 or as a wing back depending on the system being used in any particular match. It is not unusual for a talented player to be able to play more than one role, e.g Gareth Bale started off as a full back. Even our vrry own Mr Bean played adequately as full back last season.
& to return to the original thread, I seem to remember Angol played left back in the B&B Cup Semi vs Beaconsfield two seasons ago (possibly his last game?), he was one of the better players on that night of shame which ended with Junior M messing about on the run up & missing his penalty in the shoot out - thus maintaining his record of never scoring for Wycombe. To think we kept the chunky one (deleted) & let Lee go - Gaz was clearly still learning at the time!

Always liked him, seemed skilful enough but guessed he might have been seen as being too lightweight for League Two.
I don't get why Luton let him go if he scored 25 odd goals for Boreham Wood last year...
They didn't they sold him
Looks a lot stronger than when he played for us,Posh must have had him in the gym.
?Fitness training! Shock horror
He was a teenager when he was with us.

Displaced a full-back? Odd for an attacking midfielder.
Yeah he apparently played at wing back this past weekend, though I forgot to look out for him in the highlights.
Did see Ibe's assist for Liverpool's goal though!

It's just a shame for Watford that he can't fill in at right back.
