In the interest of not being sued I will simply state my personal opinion that Steve Hayes does not conduct his business in a way that I would deem right or moral.
From what I have been able to discern from the whole Steve Hayes episode, there is a grey area between legality and what you may have been brought up to believe as a right or wrong way to make your fortune.
Anyone in the sporting world only has to look at the FA transcript of the Matt's Phillips transfer sell on shenanigans, to gauge an opinion on Mr Hayes reputation.
Hayes himself was described as a 'reluctant witness' by the FA, and his evidence hardly led you to think here's a man who is a beacon of transparency and honesty.
Not to be prosecuted is quite different to being completely innocent. Mr Hayes has shown that he has an appetite to get his own way regardless of the consequences. Sometimes that makes you cross the law, sometimes it just brings you close. Maybe he is a poor judge, maybe he is ill advised, maybe he just don't give a **** about others I don't know either way I am glad he is not involved with our club anymore.

Here are links to the transcripts of the FA commission's hearing as mentioned by ChasHarps, in case anyone missed them first time. Well worth a read.
