Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Stating the obvious but we need to be extremely careful with who we appoint. An experienced manager (coach) will no doubt want to change the way we play, have a different approach to man management etc etc. We want someone to takeover who's happy to change very little on and off the pitch (at least at present). Not sure there are many experienced managers out there who fit the bill.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
I am not so sure . It is easy to have this sentiment after 7 points in three games but we rode our luck in all three of those games. We were less than convincing. 2nd half at Manfield and it could have gone very differently, they battereded us in the second half . Northampton was an awful performance. I fear a few are getting a little doe eyed because of the emotion of Tuesday night . If Barnsley had not missed their absolute sitter again it could have gone very differently and they were down to 10 men. In short luck has also played a part in those 7 points. We have a huge March coming up and how are things going to feel if we lose a couple on the bounce.Who says a new manager has to change anything until next season anyway ? The games against B'ham Wrexham and Huddersfield are going to be pressure games and need some real tactical prowess to negotiate them . If we lose a couple the atmosphere from the fans will change and the pressure will mount. An inexperienced Sam Grace will have to deal with that .Having said all of this ,it is increasingly starting to feel like the owners may share your opinion rather than mine. Either way I think some feedback from them would not hurt . If they are going to stick with the Sam's then they should announce this . I don't think this tumble weed is helping stability at all.
Re: Richard Kone signs
I think we may help Shrewsbury with David Wheeler going there on loan in the next few days.
Re: Rumour Mill
Kian B as been recalled to Man City due to "lack of opportunities". Do you think the penny is going to drop with them that he's not going to cut it?
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Totally agree. In his interview Sam Vokes said that when Blooms left everyone got together and said let's keep what we have been doing and stick together. So why get someone in who will want to change things. From the interviews on Pre match drills the two Sam's know exactly what they are doing and it's working. We have 7 points from the new management team from the last 3 games verses 4 from the last 3 games of the old manager.
Re: Richard Kone signs
True! And if Wycombe had a lifetime loyalty requirement despite employment elsewhere, we would not be helping Bristol Rovers stay up instead of Shrewsbury, because that would be hypocritical. 😁
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
The new guy knows full well that we’ll be favourites for relegation next season and we’ll be in a relegation battle from the opening day of the season, assuming we even go up in the first place.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Just give it to Grace and Vokes until the end of the season. They have steadied the ship and the players love them. Sam Vokes has so much experience in the game and both know the Wycombe culture. A new manager now might just disrupt everything we have achieved with this superb group of players.
Sam squared for me!!!!!!
