Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
I think everyone needs to take a step back. If we win 1-0, we laud that a "performance of complete control and preofessionalism". It didn't quite break for us today. That's 3 games in a row when I can count the number of chances we've given the opposition on one hand, accumalatively!
Yes, we should have gone a little more gung ho, but surely there are some positives to take from that? I've never seen us more comfortable than I have in the last two matches.
Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
Ah that’s the way it should be. A return to our roots

if I’m watching on WTV I’ll leave the live stream running for a while afterwards, you usually get to watch someone trying to edit the highlights together and sometimes you get to see the interviews.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
They came for a 0-0 draw and left with it. Good luck to them. Hopefully we stuff Burton and Peterborough over the next 2 weeks and this afternoon will be forgotten about.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
13 points from our last 7 games, since the defeat to Huddersfield. That works out at 1.86 PPG.
1.86PPG for the remainder of the season would see us finish on 90 points.
It's not been great recently, but we probably only need a slight improvement (one or two draws converted into wins) to finish on more than 90 points, which would almost certainly result in promotion.
We've lost 4 games all season, and haven't lost a single game by more than 1 goal.
Today wasn't an exciting game, but maybe that's because Wigan defended well? Surely no one would trade our position now for the likes of Huddersfield or Stockport?
We have a really tricky run-in. It would be nice if the fanbase went into that run-in with a sense of unity.

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Oh it was almost entirely Wigan’s fault that the game was so boring in my opinion. Worth watching their manager’s post match interview where he describes that as “a new way to get points” - he was well chuffed.
