Re: Injury news 2024/25
Injury update of Huddersfield Town (H) tomorrow (7th January 2025)
BFP have covered us so here's the opposition. They have five doubts and four out.
Midfielder David Kasumu (illness) is likely to return. First-choice goalie Lee Nicholls (elbow surgery), wing-back Lasse Sørensen (hamstring) and centre-back Radinio Balker (fractured ankle) will be assessed. Centre-back Nigel Lonwijk (hamstring) is very unlikely to feature.
Full-back Ruben Roosken serves the first of a three-match ban. Wing-back Mikael Miller (knee surgery) and strikers Danny Ward (ACL) and Rhys Healey (calf) are out.
Expected line-up: (3-5-2) Jacob Chapman | Tom Lees - Michal Helik - Matty Pearson | Brodie Spencer - Ben Wiles - David Kasumu - Herbie Kane - Josh Koroma |Callum Marshall - Freddie Ladapo
Huddersfield Town are unbeaten in their last 14 league matches (W9 D5). They've conceded eight goals in those 14 matches. For comparison our record is W9 D4 L1. We've conceded 12 goals.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
And it's also odd how some seem to wilfully be trying to create issues.
Posting that Ice Cream boy's criticism about transfers taking a while - then literally a transfer going through straight after - still moan!
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
A pity we can't sign a Fabian Schar from Newcastle.
A Sonny & Schar backline would be superb.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
Of course he has. But I think it's becoming increasingly the norm.
Not sure how much say Blooms has in proceedings, but I'd sort of assumed that Rice was the de facto head of recruitment.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
He may indeed be a bit more of a stop gap than a permanent signing but with Taf still not fit to play (and with a poor injury record too) we would currently be relying on Skura or moving Grimmer to centre back.
It's also possible we might have to face life without Joe Low come the end of January, so it makes sense to bring in somebody.
I'm sure this signing is more data lead than Richard Keogh's was so I'll give him a chance before making my judgement.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
I quite liked him as a player over the years. Dunno if he's still got it though.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
We don't need everyone to be a long term signing.
We need the best fits for the team that we can realistically bring in. Let's hope Bradley is one of a few who fit the bill this January.
It wouldn't 100% rule Taylor out later in the window I don't think. But it makes sense not to gamble your hat on it.
We learnt our lesson with Bishop last summer.
