Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
Udoh was really good last night wasn't he? Seems like Kone's return freed him up to play his preferred game and injected some life into Fred as well.
If those three can stay fit and firing we won't be too far away.

Re: Wycombe v large crowds
What a great signing Chris has been for Bolton. Brilliant on his day but made of chipped glass.

Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
Removing iFollow has taken away a barrier that would've made people more likely to go. I don't live that close to Wycombe and have Sky. In previous seasons, I'd have considered the 10er for iFollow and thought 'I'm already spending money, so may aswell go out of my way to get to the ground'.
Now, it's much easier for me to watch at home mid-week, and there's not even a mini-discussion I need to have over whether I should go or not, as I've already paid for Sky.
If a number of fans are making that same decision, as getting to AP after work is a bit tricky, they'll probably stay at home. That's a large factor in the low attendance.
Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
Big difference between
- Wrexham winning because a margin offside went their way and then they scored a winner with a foul and an offside, and
- us getting a second goal when in control of the match thanks, in part, to pressure we put on their defence.

Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
really good performance last night. Well done to Doddsy and the players.
Disappointing to have people cursing Wrexham's good luck, whilst failing to note the extraordinary luck associated with the pinpoint Brewers own-goal last night.

Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
It was good to hear Doddsy for the first time speak highly about Westergaard. Sentiments about how he'll be a big asset for the club, but like many of us had hoped/surmised is coming in behind others in fitness, and of course coming into a team sat in 2nd.

Re: Match Day Thread: Burton
We stand near the home dugout and I have noticed that Mike covers some distance walking back and forth his area continuously. Mike seems a really decent guy as well and he always has time for the young fans who want a photo or autograph etc.
I think Mike’s substitutions last night were spot on and I was very impressed with Lowry who is going to be a really decent player. As Mike said in his after match interview, Lowry needs to learn to do the other not so exciting duties but he certainly is very skilful and reminds me of when we first put Anis into the first team.
The future looks really good with the squad we have and Mike appears to be a very good coach and people person.

Second goal reminded me a bit of this
Re: Attendance Prediction - Burton Albion (h) - Tues 4th March '25 - Match 34 in 24/25
I can't quite believe noone used that number sequence in their prediction. It seems so obvious now.
P**s poor turn out mind you ...
