Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
We'd have to treat @flymofrank 's analysis separately if I want to qualify as youngest!
Re: New Manager Vote
He said 'I'm (cough) O'Neil' and the ownership got him confused with the M-Dog.
Re: New Manager Vote
That would be an almighty coup, but he does have experience of managing WWFC
Re: New Manager Vote
my biggest concern is that we go for a big name who has recently retired from the playing side. My concerns are mitigated somewhat by the feeling that what we do know of the still mysterious Mr L suggests that he and the team he has put in place are focused heavily on track record. Whoever comes in, please let it not be a well capped England footballer of the ‘golden generation’ .
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Taff to Shrewsbury is probably good business all round, especially if you don't need 90 minutes every week form him.
Can't see Vokes leaving though.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Vokesy started the season well with a couple of goals, but then had a bad injury, still in August I believe, and that's basically been it until now.
While he could definitely still have a role to play for us, it'll probably be in cameos and maybe learning the ropes to be a coach.
Not sure he could come in for you and be the gamechanger you need.
Wheeler barely seems to get a look in for us now, he's a "young" 34 and could service multiple positions for you. Definitely an Ainsworth favourite.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Yep hopefully we'll be OK by then. I can see us catching Northampton and the rest in there we aren't that worried about. Gareth is doing a grand job. Got everyone positive and that's amazing given how poor we was. Obviously we all have forgotten about that ghost goal he scored ;)
Anyone else you reckon he'd likely look to come back and sign from yourselves?
Someone suggested Vokes, that a goer?
Takeover hopefully incoming at some stage!
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
Goals from Woodley. The third goal went in with the keeper lying on the ground, after injuring herself. You would expect the referee to blow up, perhaps he was about to but, once the goal went in, it was too late and the goal had to stand.

Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
Apologies, I overlooked the fact that, yesterday, the U18s played in B & B Girls' Cup QF, losing 6-5 at Chesham United. Wargrave, Reading Orlando Belles and Reading Memphis Belles are the other semi-finalists.
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
FT Abingdon United Devs 1-6 U23s.
That win sees the U23s remain in third place. Leaders Beaconsfield Town beat Slough Town 10-0 at home today.
In the Premier, the Firsts move up to second place. On a day of county cup games, the only other league game in this Division saw Reading record their first points of the season, with a 2-1 home win against fellow strugglers Selsey, to move out of the bottom two.
