Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
They did say he had tonsillitis, which does take a couple of weeks, but when your star defender, very obviously on other clubs' radars misses a game with 2 weeks of a transfer window left, you do fear the worst!!
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
I’m pleased for Skura. Regular playing time alongside a seasoned (and terrifying) pro is exactly what he needs at this stage of his career.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
Thank goodness Grimmer is back.
Kodua did a good makeshift job there, but much more secure feeling with the main man back.
Re: Rumour Mill
The out of contract bit isn't as important at his age though is it? We'll still get a fee, and I think it was @Otter87 on another thread saying the tribunal would set the fee as the same as the official bid, as long as we'd offered a contract that had been rejected?
If he was 25 it'd be a huge risk turning down big money now
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
From memory there wasn’t many Mansfield fans on the train back to London after the game.
Mansfield are on an upward trajectory and are well supported in their town. Whereas I would argue that WWFC are not well supported in Wycombe.
Northern towns with a long history in the football league always seem to muster strong away followings, especially if they are doing well. See also Grimsby, Chesterfield etc
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
You could choose your school after passing the 11+???
If I'd known that I'd have chosen Wycombe High.
Re: Rumour Mill
Yikes.
Such was the acrity to passify our leader, I've made a reeeeaaal horlicks there.
Quickly let's post on a lot of other threads and keep this down the list before micra arrives.
Re: Rumour Mill
There's a few different approaches in this thread. But in hindsight, probably didn't need us all to have a little say, so we all move on as gasroom buds again.
