I think Taff, Wheels, Hanlan and Hartridge are all going to struggle for minutes. Butcher and Bakinson are quality, and I hate losing them, but those first four are going to face an uphill battle.

Not sure about Butch at Shrewsbury, he's not part of the GA band. He could certainly have his pick of mid table League One sides though.

No, they withdrew from it last season. The Rangers manager is regularly complaining that the likes of Rangers/Celtic B sides should be playing at a higher, more competitive level (e.g. Scottish League 1/2) like you see in the likes of Germany, Netherlands etc.

This is not meant as any disrespect to Sam Grace at all but I still recall the promotion of Neil Smillie from successful youth team manager to first team manager. We lost a good youth team manager and gained a very average first team manager.

I am just hopeful the next guy isn't one from the managerial merry go round.

It's a poor standard, talk is they are pulling the team out of the league as it isn't competitive enough for the youngsters trying to break through.

Not playing down his potential though, he's got a great skillset.

Looking at his twitter page, it seems as though he lost his Mum in 2023 when he would've been 19-20 years old. No surprise for something like that to (possibly) have an impact on the "attitude" of a young player.

Hopefully we'll be able to give him a welcoming home. There can be no better Scots to learn from than Grimmer and Harvie.
