Re: Mike Dodds
Hopefully he'll be so successful that we'll spend summer 2026 worrying about keeping him.
Re: Rumour Mill
Other thought on why we would sign Norris: I assume Bishop has no loan recall option and by signing a decent keeper it would free up another loan in the matchday squad. Although not sure Norris would entertain sitting on the bench.
The Bishop situation is extremely baffling indeed.
Re: Rumour Mill
Let’s face it teams know our weakness. And sadly that’s crosses. Cambridge came at us from minute 1 overloading their right wing and bombarding us with crosses. The giants of centre halves saved us time after time but teams know.
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
Whoops, I'll tip you off next time so we can hide the evido.
Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Watched Oxford City v Forest Green in the Trophy yesterday. Big upset as City won 1-0. Josh Parker got the goal, hit the post and was generally superb all game.
Re: Rumour Mill
The keeping situation already seems weird to me. Don't we have a keeper we paid money for sat on the bench?
Re: Mike Dodds
Good luck to him. Great opportunity and I'm sure he'll have the full backing of the supporters.
I'd have preferred to keep SG in place until the season end but hey ho. Hopefully MD takes a pragmatic approach to the remainder of this season and focuses on results in these games, rather than trying to imprint too much of his own tactics and strategy mid season.
Personally think it makes sense to have a specialist player recruitment function and then a separate coaching team. Obviously communication between the two is critical.
Re: Mike Dodds
Was always going to be someone random we've never thought about.
I'm actually more excited by this. Feels like a strange fresh start

38 years old. Never played football professionally. Started coaching at 18.
As a 36 year old who has never played professional football, but does have a sparkling record on Football Manager, I'm seriously questioning my career choices now.
